O Love
This beautiful piece with cello accompaniment is by Elaine Hagenberg with words by Scottish minister and hymn writer George Matheson (1842-1906).
Important notes from rehearsal 4/1/24:
Altos - in bar 42 (last bar on page 7) all altos sing the lower of the alto lines (F sharp minim, then crotchets D and F). Continue with the lower alto line throughout page 8.
Sop 2s - in bar 42 (pg 7) drop down to the alto line and sing the higher of the alto parts (2 minim As). Continue with the 1st alto part throughout page 8.
Sop 1s - in bar 42 (pg) divide as follows until bar 46: top part - Jackie, Lesley, Sarah H, Alison, Kath, Jennifer, Sarah M, Lucinda, Helen Mary
lower part (2 D minims) - Jane, Andrea, Monica, Nicky, Sharon Hilary
Everything else will just be as written. Sops 1 and 2 watch out for bar 69 though (pg11), where only sop 2s sing (ascending crotchets). Sop 1s enter in bar 70 (crotchet rest, then 3 crotchets).
